Berlin’s YGO Trips Raises €2.5M to Revolutionize Booking Technology with AI Innovation

Berlin-based, YGO Trips, a travel AI business, has successfully raised €2.5 million in capital to revolutionize booking technology.

GetAway Group, a premier provider of themed short excursions, spearheaded the funding round with the full backing of GetAway Group CEO Jan Seifried and HomeToGo co-founders Dr. Patrick Andrae (CEO) and Wolfgang Heigl (CSO). Participating in the fundraising round were prominent German startup investors Felix Jahn (founder and former CEO of McMakler), Ralf Usbeck, Lucy Capital’s Kiana Mardi, and Expedite Ventures.

The financing supports the significant advancements in AI development that YGO Trips has made since its start in January 2023. The business claims that the majority of the tourism sector still operates on antiquated technology, which is why it aims to bring it into the AI era.

Offering a novel method of booking, experiencing, and visualizing vacation packages—that is, packages catered to a younger demographic—is their pitch. According to YGO, they are the only company on the market that lets customers book flights and accommodations together with any kind of activity (such as retreats, concerts, festivals, etc.) directly through their platform.

Jan Seifried, CEO of GetAway Group, stated:

“YGO Trips is an outstanding player in the market because it combines deep AI expertise and comprehensive tourism knowledge. I believe that YGO Trips can sustainably change the industry.”

With the additional funding, YGO Trips intends to quicken business expansion and consolidate its dominant position in the travel sector for AI. The unique artificial intelligence (AI) of YGO Trips transforms travel planning by fusing visual and natural language components. Because of its wide network of partners, the AI can handle complicated bookings in real time depending on customer preferences, costs, and availability. It can even personally customize journeys. The creative AI behind YGO Trips, according to its founders, guarantees fair travel pricing, provides an easy-to-use interface, and is free to use.

Julian Kögel, CEO of YGO Trips, said:

“We are thrilled by the trust and support we have received from our esteemed investors. Furthermore, this advances our mission to use cutting-edge AI technology to transform the travel and tourism sector.”
