London-based startup eNOugh raises €280K in a pre-seed fundraising round, taking a major step forward in launching its AI Protection Badge to enhance personal safety, especially for women wandering alone at night.
The round was backed by PurposeTech VC, including EQT Scout Klara Losert.
eNOugh plans to introduce a cutting-edge AI-powered protection badge that would prevent harassment and guarantee user safety.
eNOugh was founded in a very personal way. One of the co-founders, Ina Jovicic, was attacked by four guys while she was walking home in London. Even though she only suffered minor bruises to her knees, the occurrence had a profound effect on her and inspired her to develop a solution to stop others from going through similar experiences. This regrettable experience served as the impetus for the founding of eNOugh, a business dedicated to tackling the escalating issues around personal safety.
The topic of personal safety has received a lot of attention in the UK, especially in the wake of sad incidents like Sarah Everard’s murder. According to statistics, two-thirds of women have experienced sexual harassment in public during the past year, and half of all women and one in seven men do not feel comfortable strolling alone at night. These concerning statistics highlight the critical need for efficient safety solutions, which eNOugh seeks to supply.
Personal Safety Badge:
The eNOugh badge is intended to prevent harassment in all its forms as well as to improve personal safety. It is best described by its creators as “your miniature personal bodyguard.” You activate the badge by magnetically attaching it to your coat or jacket at chest level when you start your trek home. The badge then records your whole trip, and in the event of an issue, only the police can view the film. The embedded camera’s existence acts as a strong deterrence to possible attackers. The design of the emblem is visible and instantly recognizable, which amplifies its deterrent effect. It also has a situation de-escalation system and a defense light mechanism that was created in partnership with researchers and criminal psychologists from prestigious universities.
Its AI-powered threat detection, which can identify possible danger from speech patterns and emotions, is its most inventive feature. For example, the moment someone says, “Give me your wallet,” the badge detects the threat and instantly transmits location and real-time data to an alert receiving center so that prompt action may be taken.

eNOugh is unique among personal safety solutions because of its all-encompassing, 360-degree strategy that places a strong emphasis on prevention. eNOugh is a never-before-done solution since it strives to be proactive and adapts its features to different settings, in contrast to previous solutions that frequently concentrated on a single reactionary measure.
Ina Jovicic, reflecting on the funding experience, said:
“What made it easier for us was that many people we spoke with could immediately relate to the problem we’re addressing. They saw the need for our solution right away, whether as spouses, fathers, brothers, or ladies who have been harassed on the street and are worried about their loved ones.”
Co-founder of Ina Gaelic Jara Reinhold stated:
“After reaching this funding target, eNOugh plans to release a companion app the next month and start taking orders for the badge with special early-bird savings. We are now very excited to move on to the next stage. We’re working hard to spread the badge so that we may start safeguarding people and having a positive influence while keeping our heads down.”
