Garmin Forerunner Fix Updates Battery Bug in Smartwatch Series

A new beta update has been released by Garmin aimed at improving the Forerunner Smartwatch designed to sort out battery reporting issues. Learn how to increase the watch’s productivity and learn tips and ideas for its improvement.

For the Forerunner 245, 745, and 945 smartwatches, Garmin has launched Public Beta Version 13.60. This update fixes a battery reporting problem that we observed from users of the preceding beta version, 13.40. It denied the users accurate Battery level indication which was misleading to the users.

Battery Bug Fix Erases the Bluffing of Charge Levels:

Among the bugs, the recent beta update fixes are the ones that distorted battery percentage readings. Since the last update, which took place early in October, the users reported the battery level draining unexpectedly. For example, after 12 hours of using Forerunner 945, one user noted a 90% power decrease, which was restored to 80% once connected to the charger. Though it was not depleting at a higher level, the reported battery level was misleading.

Optimizing User Experience through a Better Battery Indicator:

Garmin wants to recover user trust as this problem is that battery life is also fixed to match the actual charging duration of up to two weeks in smartwatch mode. This fix makes it possible to monitor one’s device battery with the exact percentage and without unexpected fluctuations.

Garmin’s forum states that this update currently has equipped around 20% of the Forerunner 245, 745, and 945 smartwatches. An exact date for the completion of the entire procedure is not provided. However, users can initiate the download and installation of the update using the below method:
