iPhone 15 Enters Trial Production

The iPhone 15 line has reportedly entered the trial production phase

According to Economic Daily News, Apple’s next smartphone iPhone 15 has begun “new machine trial production” over at the company’s Chinese production partner, Foxconn.

The term “new product introduction,” or “NPI,” refers to this stage of the iPhone manufacturing process. It will come before the phase of mass manufacturing later in the year, in preparation for the phone’s almost certain autumn launch.

Even if such an NPI period is typical of iPhone production, the research indicates that things will change a bit in 2023. This year, “the difference between the mass manufacturing time of iPhones in mainland China and India will reduce,” according to the division of production between China and India.

“In past years, the two locations’ mass production windows were roughly six to nine months apart. It was cut down to two months the previous year, and this year it will just be a few weeks.

The iPhone 15 Ultra, a brand-new ultra-premium iPhone, is anticipated to join the lineup this year. According to reports, this next model (and maybe the iPhone 15 Pro) will have solid-state buttons in addition to a titanium frame similar to the Apple Watch Ultra. This would imply that Apple is prepared to pitch its high-end phones as viable solutions for tough phones.

The iPhone 15 Ultra and Pro may be able to take full use of USB-quicker C’s charging rates, it has also been proposed.

There have been rumors that the entire lineup of iPhone 15 models may get Apple’s new Dynamic Island notch. Only the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max in the current series come with the feature.
