Paris-based Dottxt, an LLM platform and ecosystem, has raised $11.9M in total funding across pre-seed and seed rounds to advance its AI technology.
Funding & Utilization:
Seedcamp, Common Magic, Kima, FSJ, Roxanne Varza (Station F), Erik Bernhardsson (CEO of Modal Labs), Julien Chaumond (CTO of Hugging Face), Bob van Luijt (CEO of Weaviate), and Jean-Louis Queguiner (CEO of Gladium) are among the investors.
Dottxt raised $8.7 million in a seed round led by EQT Ventures in August 2024, following a $3.2 million pre-seed round led by Elaia in December 2023.
The money will go toward growing the Dottxt team to concentrate on spreading the technology’s use among developers and businesses.
Rémi Louf, CEO of Dottxt, states:
“There is no doubt that structured generation will be used by everyone in a few years. We’re here to close the speed and capability gap that exists between model suppliers, such as OpenAI. Moreover, we will continue to push the boundaries of this technology and increase its accessibility for all with the help of these funds. Generative AI will deliver the automation we’ve been promised, and we are actively shaping that future.”
Advancing LLM Integration:
By allowing users to request structured information, Dottxt improves large language models (LLMs) and elevates them beyond simple conversational tools. This update turns LLMs into dependable computational resources by enabling smooth integration with digital ecosystems.
HR specialists can screen CVs for certain qualifications, while data scientists can accurately query databases using natural language. Users may also swiftly extract relevant properties from big image banks, which simplifies workflows and saves time in a variety of sectors.

Dottxt’s open-source library, Outlines, has had over 3M downloads in just a year, with 600K of those downloads occurring in the last month alone. Businesses of various sizes are using it in production; among the early adopters are well-known AI businesses like OpenAI and Cohere.
Investors Thoughts:
Sia Houchangnia, a partner at Seedcamp, said:
“LLMs already have the potential to unlock tremendous value. However, Dottxt resolves the key barrier to wider adoption: the lack of reliability in LLMs. Remi, Brandon, Dan, and their team have developed the most precise and effective platform for structured generation by utilizing their knowledge of Bayesian statistics. We are excited to support the business from the start and confident that Dottxt will lead as the standard framework for LLM programming.”
Clement Vanden Driessche, Investment Director at Elaia:
“In a new software era led by the emergence of AI agents, developers experiment with a strong need to constrain the behavior of the LLM models to make the final applications faster, robust, and reliable. At Elaia, we take great pride in having supported the Dottxt team since the beginning, when they created a proprietary solution based on compilers. We are thrilled to observe their growth in the open-source community and their remarkable uptake by developers thus far.”
Explains Julien Hobeika, partner at EQT Ventures:
“We saw their potential to turn the stochastic nature of LLMs into something more programmatic and deterministic, enabling deep integration into software systems. This is consistent with our view that individuals capable of creating the fundamental foundations required to make LLMs genuinely useable at scale in crucial enterprise systems will determine the future of AI agents. Additionally, we look forward to working with Dottxt as they lead the development of this vital infrastructure.”
