Find my Doctor, a Pakistani healthcare startup, has raised $5 million in a pre-Series A fundraising round.
According to a statement released by the company, the new capital will be used to create dark stores, develop technology, attract new people, and expand its operations to 10 more cities by the end of this year.
“We are happy to achieve this milestone,” said Find My Doctor CEO and founder Saad Siddiqui in a statement. “We will be increasing our operations dramatically while experimenting with new goods and services.” Fortunately, we now have the necessary personnel in place, having hired executives from Tesla, Bykea, and an insurance start-up.”
TPL Insurance, one of Pakistan’s most notable retail insurance companies, will assist the health-tech app in boosting its insurance-related services.
“While insurance is vital to healthcare services around the world, it has yet to reach the wider population in Pakistan, allowing space for significant expansion for any organization that can offer reach and affordability,” the statement continued.
Find My Doctor also seeks to provide unique services to the general public as well as the corporate sector to make insurance enrollment and utilization easier.
The healthcare industry continued to see an exponential increase in traffic as a result of Covid-19, but the nature of the pandemic highlighted many inefficiencies in physical infrastructures, one of which was the inability to safely and promptly cater to a big population, according to the report.
“Find My Doctor is regarded a frontrunner amongst Healthcare Apps in Pakistan,” the business said, citing 250,000 satisfied customers, 90,000 lab tests, 400,000 doctor visits, and more than 150 partnerships.
“TPL Insurance uses the digital paradigm to disrupt the insurance market regularly. TPL Insurance CEO Muhammad Aminuddin stated, “Our efforts are exclusively focused on making insurance easier and accessible for all, as we look forward to building upon the same objective set forward by Find My Doctor.”
