Lighthouse, known for its AI-operated hotel software, reaches a $2.4B valuation after securing $370M in its Series C funding

Lighthouse has raised $370 million making it the newest unicorn in Europe. Learn about this business that provides AI-operated hotel software, the owner of which aims at disrupting the $15B business of hospitality technology.

AI-operated Hotel Software | Europe’s Latest Unicorn:

Originally from Belgium, Lighthouse is now based in London. As a result, the startup achieved unicorn status after securing $370M in Series C funding, reaching a $2.4B valuation. Notably, the funding round includes KKR, Spectrum Equity, F-Prime Capital, and other major investors, making it one of the largest travel tech investments this year.

The Future of the Hotel Industry Through AI:

Launched in 2012 as OTA Insight, Lighthouse offers Artificial Intelligence that revolutionizes hotels. Moreover, its online platform analyzes 400 terabytes of daily travel data, enabling real-time pricing, booking, and revenue control. Lighthouse has been serving customers across more than 185 countries by enabling 70,000+ hospitality businesses to run their operations more efficiently and increase their revenues.

AI and Growth in terms of Strategic Investment:

Lighthouse will allocate a portion of the funds to developing its Artificial Intelligence, hiring more personnel, and supporting growth activities. Transparent and Kriya RevGen acquired in Aug 2021, and Stardekk in November 2021 have enriched its services that integrate short-term rental and hotel data.

Competing in a Dynamic Market:

Competitors are STR and Amadeus Hospitality among others, however, Lighthouse is backed by AI and has global recognition. Developments such as these assist hoteliers and rental operators in finding their way in the $15 billion hospitality technology market.

“We are just getting started,” the CEO of Riant, Sean Fitzpatrick adds to this. Lighthouse plans on growing, advancing, and changing the utilization of hospitality data to another level with the backing of KKR.
