Zarya App, a Lahore-based B2B eCommerce platform, has secured $1.7 million in a pre-seed round. Zarya allows small sellers (often housewives) to use its platform to find and sell a variety of things, including women’s and children’s clothes. The startup manages the entire process, from goods sourcing to delivery and payment, and transfers each seller’s profit when a deal is finished. Zarya’s platform now includes over 3,000 products, with intentions to expand by introducing new categories. Pakistan is one of the promising markets for eCommerce, with over 100 million YouTube viewers and 45 million Facebook users. The startup plans to use the funds to broaden its supply for sellers.
