Copenhagen-based TODAY, a Vertical AI business, has raised €1 million in a pre-seed round to grow its team and enhance its AI sales assistant solution for financial advisers.
Several angel investors with backgrounds in AI, InsurTech, and financial services, including experts from CLARK, Ascendia, Harvey, Meta, Thinksurance, and Covago, participated in the round, which Berlin-based SaaS fund Lucid Capital led.
CEO Michael Gackstatter stated:
“We empower advisors with state-of-the-art AI to deliver peace of mind at scale. Even though we make significant investments in our AI team and capabilities, our competitive advantage is straightforward: We listen to and quickly iterate alongside the most customer-focused advisors in the industry.”
Established in 2024, TODAY creates AI solutions especially for financial advisors. Its first offering, a clever AI assistant, intends to streamline coaching and documentation processes, extract useful information from client discussions, and free advisers from tedious administrative duties so they can concentrate on fostering human connections.
The company claims that, because of capabilities including immediate call summaries, advisor-specific documentation formatting, and CRM enrichment based on conversation context, advisors who use the assistant save up to five hours per week.
The CEO and co-founder of TODAY, Gackstatter, offers expertise from his stint at CLARK, a German InsurTech unicorn, where he successfully scaled the business from pitch deck to success. His work at CLARK developing advisory journeys revealed a persistent advisor productivity bottleneck, which he now hopes to address with TODAY’s AI-native solution.
