Since Apple released the third-generation AirPods at the end of 2021, the starting price of the second-generation, entry-level model has gradually dropped to around $100. And now that the second-generation AirPods Pro are available, we’re seeing even better deals on the first-generation Pro and other models.

The best entry-level AirPods (second-gen) deals
Apple reduced the list price of the second-generation AirPods, which are now the entry-level model, from $159 to $129. However, it now only sells the model with the wired charging case, which charges with a standard Lightning cable. Despite their age, we discovered that the simple, second-generation AirPods still provide excellent wireless performance and dependable battery life, making them an excellent choice if you can live without a wireless charging case.
While Apple’s most affordable pair of earbuds have dropped to as low as $79.99, they are now on sale at Amazon for $99.97. If you live near a Micro Center, you can purchase them for $94.99 in-store. Apple’s third-generation AirPods are often considered the middle child in Apple’s current AirPods lineup, with support for the company’s MagSafe technology and an asking price of $179. The shorter stems also contribute to a more subtle design, while improved sound and features such as sweat and water resistance, support for spatial audio with dynamic head tracking, and improved battery life make them a welcome upgrade over the previous model.
In September 2022, Apple quietly introduced a new Lightning-only charging case option for the third-generation AirPods, which costs $10 less than the option with a MagSafe charging case. That model is currently on sale at Staples for $159 ($10 off), while the MagSafe-compatible model is currently on sale at Sam’s Club for $169.98 ($10 off). If you aren’t a Sam’s Club member, you can get the MagSafe-ready model from B&H Photo for $174 ($5 off).

The best AirPods Pro deals
The first-generation AirPods Pro are still available for purchase and are frequently much cheaper than the second-generation model. They have better sound quality and active noise cancellation than the non-premium models listed above. They also have three, rather than four, interchangeable silicone tips and support Apple’s spatial audio feature, which adds an immersive surround sound effect to select content.
Apple will release a new AirPods Pro configuration with a wireless charging case that supports Apple’s MagSafe technology, similar to the third-generation AirPods, at the end of 2021. The noise-cancelling, MagSafe-compatible earbuds were previously $249, but are now $199.95 at B&H Photo. That is, however, a far cry from their recent all-time low of $129.99 and their current average price of $159-$179. As a result, we recommend either waiting for them to drop even further in price or (if you can’t wait) purchasing the second-generation AirPods Pro right now.

The AirPods Max aren’t the iconic in-ears that have come to be associated with the AirPods brand. They’re large and luxurious, made of aluminium, steel, and a mesh fabric that keeps you comfortable even during long listening sessions. They also have good noise cancellation, Apple’s spatial audio feature, and wide, balanced sound, though they lag behind some of their competitors in terms of bass response. They aren’t the best noise-cancelling headphones for most people (blame the $550 price tag), but it’s difficult to find a pair of Bluetooth headphones that sound better and have more intuitive controls.
