Emerce.pk, an online fashion eCommerce marketplace, has been acquired by Bagallery, an online fashion eCommerce startup.

Shamaz Shaukat and Furrukh Mukhtar founded Emerce.pk in 2020 with the goal of offering clients high-quality, value-for-money products, with a particular emphasis on women’s clothes. In the past year, it has served more than 150,000 clients, and since its acquisition, total revenues have climbed by four times.

Bagallery, which is ranked third in the lifestyle category was founded in 2017 as a Facebook page selling cosmetics and bags for the fashion industry by a husband and wife duo Mina Salman and Salman Sattar.

Fashion accounted for 70% of all eCommerce income in Pakistan in 2021, according to eCommerceDB, making it the country’s largest market. It is followed by Toys, Hobby & DIY (4%), Food & Personal Care (11%), Electronics & Media (12%), Furniture & Appliances (4%), and Electronics & Media (4%).

By 2022, Statista projects that Pakistan’s eCommerce industry will generate $7.67 billion in revenue. Market size is anticipated to reach $9.1 billion by 2025, with revenue expected to increase at a 6.09% annual rate (CAGR 2022-2025).

By 2025, the eCommerce industry is predicted to have 65.1 million consumers. By 2025, there will be a 26.9% increase in user penetration from 2022’s 23.9%. The anticipated value of ARPU (average revenue per user) is US$139.90. The number of visitors to Bagallery’s website in August was 474.3k, according to Similar Web data.
