Accurat.ai, a Ghent-based data-driven software company, has raised €1 million to expand its location intelligence and market research operations across Europe. The company collects and analyzes GDPR data for businesses.

Retail entrepreneur Jonas Deprez, investors PMV, Angelwise, Lorenz Bogaert, and Toon Coppens from Ghent participated in the round. Bart Putteman, COO of Accurat.ai, contributed to this round as well.

The company intends to enter the German market first, building a strong base in the Belgian and Dutch sectors.

In a LinkedIn post, Accurat.ai states:

“We would like to thank our partners, investors, and the Accurat team for their unwavering commitment and support. With the help of innovative technology that integrates real-time retail market intelligence with location data insights, we are collectively revolutionizing the retail sector.”

A little more than three years ago, Steven Van Canneyt and Bart Muskala created Accurat.ai with the conviction that insights derived from real-world behavior held immense promise.

The location intelligence startup Accurat.ai provides media companies like Clear Channel and big retail brands like Ahold Group, Lidl, and Aldi with actionable analytics. Co-developed with early clients, the platform facilitates quicker, evidence-based brand decision-making.

The company is working on several new features, some of which will be released shortly and others of which will take time to create. Many of these improvements—like a transport mode solution and an expansion module for evaluating additional locations—directly relate to customer feedback.

The nicest thing, according to co-founder Muskala, is:

“Many of the ideas they work on originate from their clientele. “Hey, you know what would be cool?” and “Can you guys do that?” offered a lot of value. As you read this, we are developing a transport mode solution. We will begin testing our expansion module in a few months, which will let businesses assess the possibility of a new location based on the millions of journeys and place visits we have accumulated over the previous two years.”

Muskala further added:

“We’re incredibly pleased with our sub-zero churn rate. All of the clients from the previous year are still with us and are asking for more services. Our sales efforts have increased, and as a result, we are consistently acquiring new clients.”

The company is expanding its reach and has joined the Cube and Esomar communities. It also wants to deliver presentations at important industry events. These developments are made possible by new marketing methods and recent funding.

In response to increased demand for its products, Accurat.ai, which is now operating in the Benelux region, is getting ready to expand into Germany and France. The company’s primary goal is to expand into new European markets, and it is investing a large amount of money to make this happen.
